An easy home win saw the Red Devils get within three points of Man City on the EPL table.

Manchester United defeated Leicester City 3-0 in their Premier League game on Sunday. A fantastic performance from United’s attacking line was enough to secure their 16th league victory of the season.

Rashford strikes again!

Leicester found a strong start to the game, making several attempts to score an early opener.

However, the Red Devils managed to change the course of the game when Marcus Rashford broke the deadlock in the 25th minute.

A stunning through ball from Bruno Fernandes found Rashford behind Leicester’s backline. The England international then smashed the ball into the far corner of the net with a precise low shot.

The goal helped Man Utd establish their dominance after the break as they pushed to extend their lead. Erik ten Hag sent replaced Alejandro Garnacho with Jadon Sancho just after the break, providing Man Utd’s attacking line with more speed.

United’s pressure paid off when Rashford completed his brace in the 56th minute. The in-form striker converted another one-on-one situation to double his side’s lead.

Only five minutes later, Fernandes registered his second assist of the night to secure United’s victory. This time, the Portuguese star completed a one-two with Sancho, who made it 3-0 for the Red Devils with a clinical finish from inside the box.

United had a few more chances to extend their lead but couldn’t convert their chances. The victory sends a strong message to United’s next rivals, Barcelona, who meet Ten Hag’s men at Old Trafford on Thursday.
