Harry Maguire, Edinson Cavani, and Mason Greenwood are all available for the crunch upcoming game, confirms Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United were without their captain Harry Maguire during the Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain.

Edinson Cavani also sat out Tuesday’s Group H encounter, and so did Mason Greenwood. The former was still building match fitness having not played for seven months while the latter was sidelined after sustaining a knock.

The veteran striker, who joined the club on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, can finally make his debut as Ole Gunnar Solskajaer has confirmed his availability for the Chelsea game.

“I hope and expect all three of them to be available for selection. Of course, we’ve got a training session this morning but they’ve all got a chance, all of them,” Solskjaer said, as per Manchester Evening News.

“There are different reasons: Edinson wants to tick all the boxes that he’s gone through in his program to be ready and make an impact. His last preparation is going to be today and then I will have a discussion. Yesterday seemed positive with Mason and Harry.”

Although they did not feel the absence of the trio in their last two matches, the return of Greenwood, Maguire, and Cavani would be a huge boost for the Red Devils, who go into their next match with an undesirable form.

Man United have lost two of their previous four Premier League games. On the plus side, they have recorded back-to-back wins – 2-1 against PSG and 4-1 over Newcastle United.
