The Man City striker bagged another brace in the Premier League to continue his wonderful campaign.

Kevin de Bruyne believes Erling Haaland is yet to activate his full potential at Manchester City.

The Norway international scored a brace for the Citizens as they bounced back from a frustrating defeat against Liverpool.

After receiving a long ball from Ederson, Haaland ran past Brighton’s keeper before scoring City’s first goal of the night in the 22nd minute.

Two minutes before half-time, the former Borussia Dortmund striker scored again, this time converting a penalty. Speaking after the game, De Bruyne backed his teammate to continue and even improve his brilliant form.

“He is there to score the goals. He is having a really good season and helping us win games,” De Bruyne told Sky Sports.

“It’s just the start, he is doing what he needs to do. The team is playing well for the moment so that’s all we can do.”

Asked about City’s performance, he added: “The first half, we had full control, we didn’t let them play. We should’ve scored to make it 3-0 and they scored for 2-1.

“It was a bit tight in the game but obviously scoring the third finished the game. I got the ball from Bernardo [Silva], looked through the options, I was in space there, shot and it went in perfectly.”
