Mbappe has made a great start to his career, but for how long can he keep his fantastic form?

Kylian Mbappe is spending the final six months of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain. The young striker might start a whole new chapter of his career by potentially joining Real Madrid.

Mbappe has scored 15 goals and provided 12 assists in his 24 games for PSG this season. The French giants are not keen to let their star striker leave the club. But it seems that Mbappe wants to follow the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, who also joined the Blanos at the peak of his career.

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Mbappe can his continue his goalscoring form long into his career.

“The main thing for me was for him to stay at PSG this year,” Saha told Stats Perform. “Whatever he does next year, for me, that was logical for football in general throughout the world.

“We wanted to see this trio of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. It’s incredible to see and today he has his destiny in his hands. He’s a player who is exploding and he’s reaching more milestones.”

He added:

“If he can match Ronaldo’s 40 goals a year average from the age of 20, that’s something we want to keep seeing from Kylian,” Saha said.

“That is not to put pressure on him. Kylian quite simply has the potential to do that.”

Mbappe can start negotiations with other clubs from February. Real Madrid remain his main suitors, but other clubs might also enter the race next summer.
