The Borussia Dortmund striker has attracted interest from a host of elite sides.

The agent of Youssoufa Moukoko has insisted his client is not close to signing a contract extension at Borussia Dortmund.

Moukoko’s incredible performances earlier this season have turned him into one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The 17-year-old even secured a place in Germany’s World Cup squad and played for Die Mannschaft in the tournament.

Reports in English media claim Liverpool are leading the race for the teenager. A new update from Moukoko’s agent, Patrick Williams, intensifies speculations about his possible move away from Dortmund.

“I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund,” he told Sky in Germany.

“A player like Youssoufa is interesting for all top clubs in the world. Especially when he is free and has a future in the German national team.”

In addition to Liverpool, Chelsea are in the race to sign Moukoko. Following Felipe Endrick’s move to Real Madrid, the Blues are eager to avoid another transfer setback under Todd Boehly.

In Spain, Barcelona have shown interest in signing Moukoko. But they most likely prefer to stay patient for a possible free move in the summer.
