The prolific Pole was yet again the star of the show as the German champions humbled another one of their opponents.

Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick as Bayern Munich thrashed Hertha Berlin 5-0 in their Bundesliga outing on Saturday.

Lewandowski doubled Bayern Munich’s lead four minutes after the half-hour mark after Thomas Muller had put them on the front foot just minutes after kick-off.

The striker found the back of the net once again at minute 70 with a simple tap-in, hitting the 300-goal mark for the Bavarians.

A late strike then saw him complete his hat-trick and surpass the triple century figure he had reached about a quarter of an hour earlier.

The former Borussia Dortmund man also made history by scoring in his 13th consecutive Bundesliga game – his personal best goalscoring streak.

Should he find the back of the net in each of his next four league matches, Lewandowski will take over the record of scoring in most successive German top-flight games, currently held by another Bayern legend Gerd Muller, who passed away earlier this month.
