A tough test for the Catalan giants awaits on the weekend as they are set to lock horns with their arch-rivals.

Ronald Koeman insists Barcelona must “play without fear” when they lock horns with Real Madrid in La Liga on Sunday.

Koeman appeared to be on a slippery slope not too long ago owing to Barcelona’s dismal start to the season, but the pressure on him has now eased following back-to-back wins.

The pressure on the Dutchman can further diminish should his side secure a positive result in the upcoming crunch clash at Camp Nou. A victory will move Barca above Real Madrid in the league. A defeat, meanwhile, will likely put a major dent in their title hopes.

“We’ve won two games in a row and the sensations are good,” Koeman stated at his pre-match press conference on Saturday (via ESPN)

“The Clasico is one of the most important games of the season and a chance to show that we are on the right path.

“The result is important, but it won’t be decisive because there is still a long way to go.

“We have to play without fear. We’re confident. We know what we can do and we want to show that. We are at home, we will have our fans behind us and I’m not going into the game with any fear.”
