The German manager has come under pressure for his side’s poor form this season.

Liverpool could sack Jurgen Klopp early next season if their performances wouldn’t improve, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Liverpool have struggled for consistency throughout the current season, slipping to the eighth spot on the Premier League table. A run of three winless games in recent weeks have seen Klopp’s men fall ten points behind the fourth spot.

Real Madrid also knocked out Liverpool from the Champions League to further diminish their dreams of securing a place in the competition’s next edition.

“I’d be frightened if I were Klopp,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider. “If he didn’t have the credit in the bank, he’d be sacked by now. If Abramovich was the owner, he’d be sacked.

“Next season, they won’t be playing Champions League football – and if they’re struggling again in October, the board have no choice. It’s not working. He’s had his time at the club, and they will move him on.

“You can’t have two bad seasons in a row. It’s just not good enough. He keeps bringing it up because he knows it’s very possible. He’s under big pressure, and he has got to set his team up to show fight next season, otherwise it could end very soon for him.”
