The Reds may have extended their winless run to four games on Tuesday, but Klopp is feeling bullish about the upcoming Arsenal match.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp feels his side has made a timely step forward ahead of Sunday’s showdown against Premier League leaders Arsenal.

On Tuesday, Liverpool recovered from a 4-1 weekend hammering by Manchester City to hold a managerless Chelsea to a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.

The result may have extended Liverpool’s winless run to four games in all competitions, but the team’s performance itself pleased Klopp.

“It is a home game and our home record is not as bad as the away record,” the 55-year-old German said about the Arsenal clash.

“It means I am really looking forward to this game now because tonight I saw a step and that’s what I wanted. Now let’s carry on. Anfield is waiting for us and we want to deliver.”

“For the moment we have no lack of goals or lack of where we want to end up; we want to be as successful as possible,” Klopp added.

“But that means for each weekend, or for each midweek game, like today, we want to win it. I saw that tonight and for that, I am fine.”
