Major setback haul continues for Jurgen Klopp as he announced the absence of Liverpool’s important player.

Jurgen Klopp confirmed the omission of Liverpool’s Fabinho from the Premier League encounter against West Ham this weekend. The Reds midfielder limped off the field due to a hamstring injury during the Champions League win vs Midtjylland on Tuesday.

Moreover, Brazil also announced that Fabinho will not feature for his national team during the upcoming international break. And then, Klopp affirmed the 27-year-old’s exclusion from the game vs Hammers at Anfield.

He said: “Fabinho is not in [the squad for West Ham]. That’s clear.

“He got a little injury and so he will be out for the weekend and probably slightly longer.

“That’s one thing, but all the others who are fit will be in contention, either on the pitch or on the bench and coming on.”

Additionally, Klopp also claimed that captain Jordan Henderson will be fit to fight against David Moyes’s strong side this weekend. The England international was taken off at halftime due to injury woes. Nevertheless, Klopp reassured Henderson’s arrival for Liverpool.

“Jordan Henderson did not have a fitness problem. Responsible is maybe the better word for [the substitution],” said Klopp.

“I can count a little bit and so I can count the games we played, I can count all the games the players played and we have to try to get through this period.

“If you have a look at the schedule then you see the month like October is a month like a usual December and November is a month like a usual December.

“Then December is still December, so that means we have the intensity of the most hectic schedule, which we have every year in December.

“[But] we have it now already and that’s why we have to make these kinds of decisions. We will make them as long as we can make them. The boys are ready to go.”
