The Tottenham speedster has been putting work for his recovery, as he hopes to make it to Jose Mourinho’s starting XI vs West Ham.

Jose Mourinho induced that he is not sure regarding Gareth Bale’s Tottenham debut against West Ham this weekend. Although, he also mentioned that any decision taken will affect the overall team in a good way.

Bale suffered from a knee injury during the summer season. Consequently, he did not play for Tottenham after his arrival almost a month ago.

Moreover, the 31-year-old also did not feature for the Wales team to recover from his injuries. Though, for the past few weeks, the “speedster” is putting efforts into the Tottenham training ground.

Mourinho arguably was modest regarding team selection and whether Bale will return to the starting XI. However, he also did not rule out the Welshman’s chance of making his debut for the second time.

“The team is the most important thing. And Gareth is here to help the team, but at the same time we care about him,โ€ he told Sky Sports.

โ€œSo the decision we are going to make is going to be for the good of the team. But also for him.

“It is very important he has a happy season with us at this moment in his career.”

In-form Tottenham.

Mourinho believes to get back to winning ways after demolishing Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford before the international break.

As a matter of fact, the victory vs the Red Devils made it seven games unbeaten for Spurs across all competitions. Mourinho’s men only lost to Everton who tops the table with 12 points.

The reason being, the north London side has played more games than any other Premier League club.

โ€œWe coped well with that busy period just because the squad is very good. And the boys were fantastic,โ€ added Mourinho.

โ€œIt is a big match on Sunday against a team that is playing well. And getting very good results, and it is a London derby too.

โ€œSo letโ€™s forget what we did well these in the past couple of weeks where we got results. The new period starts Sunday.โ€
