As we keep wondering about Ronaldo’s immediate future at Juventus, agent Jorge Mendes made a bold claim about the Portuguese star.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future was just clarified by Jorge Mendes himself, who’s been his agent throughout his entire career. Amid all the links to several different clubs over the last few weeks, the agent had to step out to clarify the situation.

We initially believed Ronaldo wasn’t willing to remain at a club where he wouldn’t be able to compete for another Champions League title. Cristiano himself is convinced he still has many good years left in his career and he can at least win another trophy. But playing at Juventus over the last three seasons has proven that getting his sixth medal won’t be easy to accomplish.

Even if Juventus gets a competitive roster to accompany Ronaldo, getting to the tournament’s final is the hardest thing to do in football. The previous two eliminations made the world think Ronaldo was willing to leave to a club where he could pursue this target.

Mendes thinks Ronaldo will keep making history.

Amid this situation with his current club, Cristiano Ronaldo’s future started taking a different shape in recent weeks. There were clubs like Real Madrid or Manchester United on the horizon, with both willing to pay top money for the player.

But Jorge Mandes has other plans as he revealed on Tuttosport: “I’ve said it many times in the past and I think very few people doubt this: Cristiano is the best players in history and no other player can compare to him. There isn’t one record he can’t break. Soon, he will become the player with the most goals with club and country in history.

“CR7 feeds on objectives and he keeps reinventing himself in order to achieve them. The team’s targets become entangled with his personal targets. Apart from being the star, Juventus is a better leader day by day. Between this and next season (his last), Cristiano wants to rewrite several pages in world football.”
