Man Utd got back to winning ways on Wednesday to reclaim their top-four spot.

Manchester United are over-reliant on Marcus Rashford, according to manager Erik Ten Hag.

The 25-year-old forward’s 27th-minute goal sealed Man Utd a 1-0 win against Brentford on Wednesday, ending the club’s three-match winless and goalless run in the Premier League.

Rashford has now made 18-goal contributions (15 goals, three assists) in the Premier League this season, which makes up 43% of United’s 42 goals overall.

“Yes, it’s the truth,” Ten Hag told BBC when asked if the team is too reliant on Rashford.

“But we know other players can score as well. Bruno [Fernandes] can score as well. We have many more players across the squad who can score.”

In all competitions, Rashford has put away 28 goals and six assists in 46 games this season. The strike against Brentford was his 10th match-winning goal in the Premier League.
