Arsenal registered their first win at Old Trafford in 14 years, and Bernd Leno maintains it was down to the team’s relentless attitude.

Arsenal collected all three points from their most recent Premier League outing, and the win gave them some extra bragging rights.

For one, it was the Gunners’ first victory against Manchester United away from home in a very long time, with their last win at Old Trafford coming way back in September 2006.

Furthermore, the 1-0 scoreline marked the end of their 29-game winless run against a ‘big six’ team in the Premier League, with their last win coming against Manchester City in January 2015.

Mikel Arteta’s men jumped up to the ninth spot in the league standings after Sunday’s result. Though still an unpleasant position, they look determined to force their way back into the top four this season.

“First of all, it was a very important win for us when you look at the table,” goalkeeper Bernd Leno told the club’s official website.

“It’s been a long time since we won away against a team from the big six, and as well at Old Trafford. It’s been 14 years I think, so too long but finally we’ve done the job.

“It was a very collective, strong performance from us. Our players were brilliant and I think everybody had the right attitude and mentality to win.”
