With the UEFA Nations League semifinals about to start, we need to discuss whether Eden Hazard is ready to help Belgium or not.

Eden Hazard has gone through one of the most gruesome times in his career while living a parallel life with Belgium. When he still played for Chelsea, he repeatedly stated how much he dreamed to someday represent Real Madrid. After more than two years playing for Los Blancos, that dream has become a nightmare. Although he already recovered from a nasty ankle injury, it took him a long while to recover that feeling he had as a Blues’ player.

Those dribbling skills that were unique in him were suddenly gone for years at Real Madrid. It’s also been a long process of recovery with the Belgian National team. Although it has been an uphill road for him, Hazard has in his country what he lacks in Real Madrid: confidence from his manager. He’s played a few matches but he has mostly delivered satisfactory results and way more playing time compared to Spain. Roberto Martinez knows that the sooner he recovers Eden Hazard for his squad, the better it will be for him.

France will be his biggest test to date.

If we judge the most recent matches played by the Belgian National Team, Eden Hazard has a great reason to feel confident for tomorrow’s match. Roberto Martinez will likely use him from the start of the match considering he is supposed to be fully recovered from his injuries. With Belgium, Eden is always one of the go-to players who can be trusted to deliver regardless of his current situation.

France is not currently going through the best moment of their last four years and Hazard could benefit from this. One thing is for sure. Real Madrid supporters will be confused if Hazard plays at his best level of performance with his country. They won’t understand the reason Carlo Ancelotti still refuses to give him playing minutes he is definitely getting under Roberto Martinez. If he becomes important tomorrow, Eden can hopefully make a case for himself in the upcoming matches Los Blancos will have to play.
