Jude Bellingham is hoping to translate his form into the 2019/20 season after performing well in the preseason matches.

Jude Bellingham became the most expensive Under 18 footballer in the world when Borussia Dortmund paid Birmingham City €25 million for his signature earlier this summer.

Bellingham turned 17 two months ago, but he has already managed 45 competitive appearances. He made rapid progress over the course of the last 12 months after making his senior debut in August 2019, at just 16 years of age.

Several European giants took notice of his potential and registered an interest for his transfer. He ultimately picked Dortmund as his next destination, a club with a reputation for polishing young talents.

The recipient of the 2019-20 EFL Young Player of the Season award has settled well in his new surroundings, bonding well with his new teammates and putting impressive displays in BVB’s preseason games so far.

“I’m very grateful to get the opportunity to play for this club,” Bellingham told in an interview with the EFL’s official website.

“I really appreciate the trust they’ve put in me by signing me. We’ve had a lot of training sessions, a few pre-season games and I just can’t wait to get started.

“It’s been so far, so good for me and I just want to carry that into the main season.”
