Thomas Tuchel has put focus on Angel Di Maria’s goalscoring appetite following his inspiring display in Paris Saint-Germain’s latest match.

Angel Di Maria was on target as Paris Saint-Germain strolled to a 3-0 victory against Nice in matchday four of the 2020/21 Ligue 1 season.

The Argentine struck from close range to double his side’s lead moments prior to the end of the first-half after Kylian Mbappe had put PSG on the front foot with a spotkick at 38th minute.

The 32-year old winger then set up Marquinhos to put the game beyond any doubts before being replaced by teenager Bandiougou Fadiga.

“What Di Maria did is not easy – Angel has played three games in a row and had only one training session,” Thomas Tuchel said in his post-match press conference, as per Goal.

“He always shows that he is capable of doing extraordinary things and it’s the same with Kylian.

“He had a very good game and he has shown again that he can make the difference with his confidence and hunger to score. He helped us a lot, that much is obvious.”

Tuchel’s men, who currently sit seventh in the league table, will now shortly begin preparations to face Stade de Reims with the fixture scheduled for the next weekend.
