The Argentine winger who once enjoyed being an undisputed starter has been in and out of the star-studded PSG team lately.

Thomas Tuchel says Angel Di Maria needs to rediscover his form while explaining the player’s exclusion from his starting XI in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 outing against Lorient.

The 32-year-old was allowed only the final 19 minutes of action in Wednesday’s 2-0 win at the Parc des Princes.

Moise Kean, who doubled PSG’s lead after Kylian Mbappe had opened the scoring, was favored ahead of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man to replace the injured Neymar up front.

Di Maria remained largely ineffective in the limited time handed to him, making just 18 touches and failing to get a single shot away.

“I feel like Angel has lost some things that were easy for him before, but that’s how it is,” Tuchel stated after the final whistle, via Goal.

“We were a little stronger in this structure, in 5-3-2. But it is a decision of the moment. I’m never going to stop believing in Angel.

“It is in my head, it is in my heart, even if at the moment it is less easy. He tried again today, but lacks that click. It is more difficult but it does not matter.”
