Happy birthday to Hakim Ziyech! Chelsea star turns 28 today

Today we celebrate the 28th birthday of former Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech by taking a brief look back on his career story.

From playing football in the streets of Dronten in his youth to Chelsea’s 41,837-capacity stadium in London, Hakim Ziyech has come a long way.

The 28-year-old has wowed fans in recent seasons with his dribbling, passes, and fancy techniques. He’s become one of the biggest prospects in Europe following spells with Heerenveen, Twente, and Ajax in the Netherlands.

Ziyech, who transitioned into a winger at Ajax, even finished as the top assist provider in three of his last four seasons in the Eredivisie. He was instrumental in the club’s run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2018/19.

And while it’s been a bit of an up-and-down journey since the Moroccan joined Chelsea last summer for €40m, he has shown promise.
