A standout performer, the French forward bagged a brace to help his side ease away with all three points at Bramall Lane.

Alexandre Lacazette insists Arsenal were “really efficient” during their Premier League meeting with Sheffield United on Sunday.

Arsenal moved up to the ninth position in the Premier League standings following a comprehensive 3-0 win over Sheffield.

The Gunners took the lead near the half-hour mark, with Lacazette scoring a wonderful team goal. Gabriel Martinelli, who was making his first start in four months, doubled the advantage before Lacazette found the net again five minutes from time to cap off his side’s remarkable display.

“I think tonight was a great game for us,” the Frenchman told BT Sport after the full-time whistle.

“We know we have the quality. Sometimes we miss in both parts of the pitch and today we were really efficient so we’re really happy.”

Lacazette has come under criticism this season for being rather sloppy in front of goal and has been linked with a move away from Arsenal.

“I missed an easy chance on Thursday, today I wanted to score to give back the confidence,” he added.

The Gunners next turn their attention to the decisive Europa League quarter-final second-leg clash against Slavia Prague on Thursday.
