The former Red Devils captain has shared his thoughts on CR7’s plan for a tell-all interview.

Gary Neville has requested that Cristiano Ronaldo speaks his truth over the constant rumors about his Manchester United future now for the good of the club.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Ronaldo lashed out against another round of transfer rumors and hinted at plans to break his silence in a tell-all interview in the next few weeks.

But given the current state of United, Neville thinks it’s best that his former teammate, who he rates as the ‘greatest player of all time’, talks now rather than later.

“Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth? Stand up now and speak,” the ex-defender wrote on Twitter about Ronaldo’s post.

“The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He’s the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!”

United sit bottom of the Premier League table without a single point after losing their first two games of the season to Brighton and Brentford.

Erik ten Hag’s side return to action next Monday for another league match against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
