Fabinho seeks to add a new dimension to his game as he admits to needing improvement in the goalscoring department.

It was another successful term on an individual as well as on a collective level for Fabinho, who completed his second season with Liverpool.

The 26-year old picked up the Premier League title winners’ medal in 2019/20 after winning the Champions League in his debut season at Anfield while being a key component of the team in both the successes.

It is the wide range of skills he possesses that makes him an indispensable tool in Jurgen Klopp’s team – but goal contribution is not one of them.

The holding midfielder scored just twice and provided four assists in all competitions last season, a low return from a player in his position.

And Fabinho, who is preparing to head into his third season at the club, knows that he needs to put on his shooting boots more often.

“He [Jurgen Klopp] always talks about that I have to shoot more because I have this quality. I will try,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I know I can do this, I have to try more in the games. Sometimes I have the chance to shoot more from long distance and I didn’t do this because I prefer to pass.

“But I scored two nice goals last season and I just have to train this and try a bit more in the games.”
