Dortmund will hold talks with the in-demand striker over his future.

Since moving to Borussia Dortmund in January 2020, Erling Haaland has established himself among the top strikers in European football. The player, who reportedly has a £70m release clause in his contract, has attracted interest from a host of top clubs.

In recent weeks, several reports have suggested Haaland will continue his football at Barcelona. A recent meeting between Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola and Barcelona president Joan Laporta has increased Barca’s chances of signing him.

A few Spanish sources have claimed the Norwegian has confirmed he will play in Spain next season. However, Barcelona are not alone in Haaland’s transfer race.

Almost every elite European club are keen to add the striker to their ranks. However, as Mbappe edges closer toward Real Madrid, a Barcelona move could appeal more to Haaland.

Dortmund chief Sebastian Kehl confirms the German side will speak to Haaland about his potential move.

He said (via Mirror): “We’ll sit down with Haaland in the next few weeks and discuss the situation. It would be good if a decision doesn’t drag on forever.

“He’s in very good hands at BVB and why we as a club can continue to be a very good option for him.”

Despite the recent links, Haaland’s move to Barcelona still seems unrealistic due to the club’s financial situation. The Catalans might struggle to fulfil the Norwegians’ wage demands, with sources claiming he wants around £25m per year.
