The Black and Yellows have reiterated their stance over a move for Ronaldo.

Rumours around Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible move to Borussia Dortmund have generated huge ‘click figures’, but that won’t affect the German side’s transfer policy.

Ronaldo has been pursuing a move away from Manchester United since the start of the current transfer window.

According to widespread reports in English media, the Red Devils are open to allowing CR7’s exit. However, they are yet to receive a formal offer for the 37-year-old.

Dortmund emerged as a potential destination for Ronaldo after the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid refused to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

A move to Signal Iduna Park would enable Ronaldo to feature in the only major European league that he hasn’t played in. But, Sebastian Kehl insists such media tag lines won’t affect Dortmund’s transfer decision.

Speaking to BILD TV, Dortmund’s sporting director said: “Cristiano Ronaldo will not move to Borussia Dortmund. This is so.”

He added: “The click figures were probably outstanding but we have done a few things over the past days to pin down this rumour.

“Ronaldo is certainly a fantastic player, a world footballer. But if it is said that he is missing the Bundesliga then that is not our issue.”
