Salah may have recently refused to rule out a move to La Liga one day, but Aldridge can’t see the Liverpool star joining Real Madrid.

John Aldridge cannot understand why Mohamed Salah would consider a Real Madrid due to his previous history with the club.

The Egyptian forward recently refused to rule out a future move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid in La Liga.

But if Aldridge was in Salah’s shoes, the Liverpool legend insists he would hold a ‘hatred’ for Real Madrid after Sergio Ramos infamously dislocated his shoulder in the 2018 Champions League final in Kyiv.

“Personally, I think after the experience of the Champions League final and the way Ramos treated him, I’d have had a hatred for Real Madrid if it was me, after that incident,” Aldridge told the Liverpool Echo.

“It wouldn’t appeal to me, but I wouldn’t want to leave Liverpool anyway.

“We’re talking about one of the very best forwards in the world. [Sadio] Mane, Salah – they’re always going to be linked with Real Madrid.

“It’s up to Jurgen Klopp and what he wants. You have to trust the manager to deal with such situations when they arise in the right way. Players are so strong now, if they want to go then they’ll go.

“End of story.”

Former Egypt international Mohamed Aboutrika has also claimed ‘Salah is not happy in Liverpool’.
