The German playmaker says his countryman has been a source of strength for all the club’s staff and players.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, Chelsea have been dealing with uncertainty over their future. With the UK government sanctioning the club’s owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea are currently going through a complicated takeover process.

However, the Blues’ performances in recent games do not show any symptoms of slowing down. They have enjoyed incredible form, with Thomas Tuchel seemingly finding his ideal attacking unit in recent games.

The German manager has stayed calm about the club’s situation, insisting he will do his best to keep his players’ focus on their ongoing campaign.

In a new interview with Die Welt, Havertz praised the German manager for his great leadership.

“Many people in our club and its environment draw strength from what Thomas Tuchel says,” the 22-year-old said.

“It’s remarkable how he and the whole staff are dealing with the current situation.

“We’re all trying to concentrate on the games, we can’t influence everything else.

“The priority for us now is that the war is stopped and that there is finally peace in Ukraine again.

Chelsea will face Brentford in their first Premier League game after the international break. The Blues will then prepare to face Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final battle on April 6.
