Chelsea claimed their second win under Graham Potter, leapfrogging their opponents on the Group E table.

Chelsea defeated Milan 3-0 in their Champions League game on Wednesday. An easy home win saw two new signings find the back of the net at Stamford Bridge.

A new mid-season miracle at Chelsea?

Chelsea won both of their Champions League titles after campaigns that saw them fire their managers mid-season.

Similar to Roberto De Matteo and Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter has found a strong start to his Chelsea career.

Similar to their win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, Chelsea started the game by controlling the possession.

Following a few missed chances, Wesley Fofana opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute.

Milan had a golden chance to come back just before half-time. But Kepa Arizabalaga made a fantastic save to stop Rade Krunic from close range.

The Blues started the second period looking for a quick breakthrough. Potter’s side got exactly what they were looking for when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his maiden Chelsea goal in the 56th minute.

A precise cross from Reece James found the former Arsenal captain, who nodded home from close range to make it 2-0.

James then completed his incredible performance by sealing Chelsea’s win only five minutes later.

The goal killed Milan’s hopes for a comeback, with Stefano Pioli’s side struggling to create serious chances for the remainder of the game.

Chelsea’s victory gets them past Milan on the Group E table as they sit a point behind RB Salzburg. The Blues return to Premier League action to meet Wolves this Saturday.
