The new Barcelona signing became only the fourth player in the 21st century to score a hat-trick in La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1.
Signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a free transfer is a ‘gift’ for Barcelona, according to midfielder Sergio Busquets.
The former Arsenal man capped off his first start in La Liga with an incredible hat-trick against Valencia on Sunday, securing his new club a 4-1 victory at the Mestalla.
Aubameyang broke the deadlock in the 23rd-minute by slamming in his maiden goal for Barcelona. He converted again from close range just before the break, after Frenkie de Jong had scored. His hat-trick was complete in the second half when Pedri’s 25-yard hit glanced his back and went into the back of the net.

‘Having Auba in the squad on a free transfer is a gift’
“He’s working really well, he came here needing minutes but he is getting them now,” Busquets told Movistar+ after the final whistle.
“I hope he helps us like this because he is a great player and having him in the squad on a free transfer is a gift.”
The win at Valencia sees Barcelona retain their fourth place ahead of Atletico Madrid – who beat Osasuna 3-0 on Saturday – in the La Liga table.
Aubameyang will hope to continue his excellent form when Xavi Hernandez’s side visit Napoli this Thursday for the second leg of their Europa League knockout tie.
