The Portuguese was involved in a car accident on the eve of Manchester United’s encounter with Liverpool.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has avoided a serious injury after being involved in a car crash.

Various reports have claimed that Fernandes got involved in an accident on Monday morning in his Porsche. None of the parties involved, however, appear to have sustained serious injuries.

In fact, Fernandes is expected in Carrington to attend a Manchester United training session. The Red Devils are preparing for a Premier League trip to Liverpool on Tuesday.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick will speak to the media on Monday afternoon in a pre-match press conference and may give an update on Fernandes’ availability for the clash.

United head into the showdown off the back of a 3-2 win over Norwich City on Saturday. As both Tottenham and Arsenal lost at the weekend, they are now three points outside the top-four in fifth place in the league table.
