Ace Football previews the Premier League match between Brighton and Arsenal, and offers betting tips, odds, line-ups, and team news.

15th meets 16th as Arsenal take a trip to the South Coast on Tuesday evening to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Brighton did the double over Arsenal last season by claiming 2-1 wins both home and away. In fact, the Gunners haven’t beaten their latest opponents since January 2017 – five games without a win (D2 L3).

But on the back of an impressive 3-1 triumph over Chelsea, along with Brighton’s struggles to win at home this season, can Arsenal finally put an end to their bogey run at the Amex?

Brighton & Hove Albion Form & Stats

The Seagulls finished last season with a league-best of 14 draws, alongside Arsenal and Wolves, and have carried on this term. They have already bagged seven stalemates in only 15 games (W2 L6) – another league-best record.

A 2-2 draw away to West Ham on Sunday, meanwhile, extended Brighton’s winless run to six league matches (D4 L2). Lewis Dunk had put them in front in the 70th-minute in London only for Tomas Soucek’s late equalizer to deny them a much-needed win.

Brighton generally play attractive football and are great at going forward. They’ve also given Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester United a run for their money this season. An inability to finish their opponents, however, has proved costly.

But while Graham Potter’s men sit just two points above the relegation zone, they have a great head-to-head record against Arsenal and are unbeaten in their last three games.

Key Team Stats
  • Drawn their last 3 league games.
  • Failed to win their 7 home league games (D4 L3).
  • Won just 1 of their 16 home league games in 2020 (D8 L7).
  • A league-best of 7 draws in 15 games (W2 L6).
  • BTTS in 6 of their 7 home league games.
  • Just 2 yellow cards in their last 4 league games.
  • Neal Maupay has scored a goal in each of his last 2 league games against Arsenal.

Arsenal Form & Stats

Mikel Arteta’s side claimed a first Premier League win in nearly two months on Boxing Day by beating Chelsea 3-1 at the Emirates. It ended a seven-match winless streak (D2 L5) and moved them six points clear of the drop zone.

The performance against a potential title contender was arguably Arsenal’s best of the season. The young players had the measure of Frank Lampard’s men right from the beginning, earning a valuable three points.

The trip to the Amex, however, will give us our clearest sign of where Arsenal stand. A win will be necessary to build on their Chelsea triumph and to kick-start their bid to return to the upper half of the Premier League.

Although the Gunners have struggled on the road this season, winning just two of their seven games (D1 L4). They have also lost Gabriel to a positive COVID-19 test, along with David Luiz and Willian to illness. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, however, is expected to make a return to the line-up.

Key Team Stats
  • Won just 1 of their last 8 league games.
  • Lost 4 of their 7 away league games (W2 D1).
  • Winless in their last 5 league games against Brighton (D2 L3).
  • BTTS in their last 3 league games.
  • BTTS in 5 of their last 6 league games against Brighton.
  • Alexandre Lacazette has scored 67% of Arsenal’s first goals this season.
