The treble-winning Bayern Munich will face Eintracht Frankurt with the possibility of the return of their new signing.

Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane might come back from injury to play against Eintracht Frankfurt. This is confirmed by Hansi Flick ahead of their Bundesliga clash this weekend.

Unfortunately, the Germany international only featured three times for Bayern since arriving from Manchester City. Subsequently, the Bavarian giants purchased Sane for €60 million.

Consequently, the 24-year-old suffered from an injury in the second of a 4-1 loss to Hoffenheim. Sadly, Sane could not play due to a right knee injury.

The sprinter is back.

Sane however is ready for selection and trained in the Thursday session. In addition, Serge Gnabry will not be able to play because of the virus protocols.

“Everyone is fit. Leroy Sane is in the squad. We are on the right track,” said Flick on Friday. “We’re not planning to start him, and have to go step by step. We have to wait for the game, but he is an option. We are happy about it.

“Gnabry will be out at the weekend. We have to wait and see [when he can return]. We are focused on Frankfurt with the players who are available to us.”

Though, Flick will have to make a switch in the midfield following Corentin Tolisso’s red card incident against Arminia Bielefeld.

In only four matches, Tolisso took three shots on target already which equals his last season 13 games.

“You can feel that he’s enjoying his football,” said Flick. “Last season, he had problems with injuries and then didn’t play too much.

“We sat down at the end of last season and talked. How he’s playing now is how he played for Lyon. A weight has fallen off his shoulders; he’s enjoying football.

“I’m glad he scored the goal; it gives him confidence. He has the quality and good results shooting from long distance, but also in the box. He’s also very strong.”

On the other side, Frankfurt did not lose their last eight Bundesliga matches. Although, Adi Hutter’s men lost all their games against the strong Bayern side. Shockingly, they conceded 40 goals scoring only seven.
