Ahead of Wednesday’s match between Juventus and Barcelona, there’s a player who feels proud for playing next to Messi and Ronaldo.

There are very few players in football history who can say they shared the dressing room with both Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. We can talk about Angel Di Maria, Paulo Dybala, and even Gonzalo Higuain. Arthur Melo is another player with bragging rights and can make this claim.

But Miralem Pjanic is having a more prominent role at FC Barcelona and he was instrumental in Juventus’ Serie A title last season. He just spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League match between his former club and his current squad. During the build-up for the game, there were images leaked of Pjanic strolling through Allianz Arena’s pitch while he was talking to Messi.

The Argentine is still studying everything he can before this new game and use whatever he can against Juventus. Meanwhile, Pjanic explained what they discussed and what playing next to the two best players in history means to him.

Pjanic will tell his grandchildren.

During today’s press conference ahead of the match, Pjanic spoke to the press to say the following on FC Barcelona’s website: “I talked with Messi about the years I spent here, I spoke well about the club and the president. Nothing more than this, he is well informed, he knows very well about Juventus.

“I have seen Juventus, there were different expectations but the beginning is always difficult because of injuries, there were some missing players and this new group needs time to develop and improve.

“It’s exceptional I could play with Messi and Ronaldo they are absolute phenomenons, it’s great to interact with them. I will tell my grandchildren they are among the strongest players of all time and that I’ve played with them both, not many players have done the same. Messi knows the [Ronaldo] situation very well, he watches the news, he is preparing for tomorrow’s game. I hope he will play a great match tomorrow.”
