The Nerazzurri maintained their second spot in Group C after a nail-biting match at Camp Nou.

Barcelona drew 3-3 with Inter in their Champions League game on Wednesday. A six-goal thriller saw Inter come closer to knock-out stage qualification at Camp Nou.

Lewa to rescue!

Barcelona dominated the possession early on, but it took them 40 minutes to finally broke the deadlock through Ousmane Dembele.

The Catalans continued their attacks as soon as the second period started, but Inter had turned into a completely different team after half-time.

Nicolo Barella brought Inter back into the game only five minutes into the second period. Lautaro Martinez then shocked Barca by making it 2-1 just after the hour mark.

Having seen their Champions League dreams in danger, Barca went all-in with their attacks after Martinez’s goal. Inter managed to repel most of Barca’s attacks but couldn’t stop Robert Lewandowski from scoring in the 82nd minute.

Barcelona pushed to complete their comeback, but another fantastic move from Martinez nearly killed the game for the guests.

Following a quick move from the right-hand side, the Argentine star provided an assist for Robin Gosens, who made it 3-2 in the 89th minute.

Barca resorted to crossing from all sides, putting Inter’s backline under immense pressure. An inch-perfect cross from Eric Garcia then found Lewandowski, who flew above the Inter defenders to save Barca from relegation.

Inter had a perfect chance to restore their lead through Kristjan Asllani in the final minute. But Marc-Andre Ter Stegen managed to save the Inter forward’s poorly composed shot.

The draw keeps Inter at the second spot on the Group C table with seven points. Barca follow the Nerazzurri with four points, hoping to turn things around by beating Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen in their remaining group-stage games.
