Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett believes Tottenham Hotspur have what it takes to challenge other sides in the Premier League title race.
Bale returned to Tottenham this summer on a season-long loan after falling out of favor at Real Madrid.
Spurs paid £13million to secure the Welshman’s blockbuster return to London, though it’s only a temporary move for now.
The 31-year-old is still trying to battle his way back from injury but will be a massive addition to Jose Mourinho’s squad once fully fit.
Despite playing only a handful of games over the past couple of seasons, Bale is still one of the best in his position in Europe.
His undeniable quality and winning mentality is something Tottenham can benefit from in the upcoming Premier League title race. At least that’s what Jonathan Barnett believes will be the case.
“Win the Premier League, without a doubt,” he replied when asked about Bale’s ambition for this season, per the Daily Mail.
“Tottenham have got a good squad, a great coach, and with Gareth’s help, I’m sure they will get very close. You only have to see the results from last week to see that it’s open.
“It kills me to say that because I’m an Arsenal supporter, but that’s the reality.
“He has nothing to prove to anybody. He’s won more than anybody else. He was one of the best three or four players in the world, and I think he still is.
“If he succeeds, great, If not, he’s been there and done it. But, I think he will succeed.”
During his trophy-laden stint at Real Madrid, Bale lifted four Champions League crowns and two La Liga titles.
However, his lackadaisical approach over the past couple of years and a series of injury setbacks made him a bit-part player in the Spanish capital.
