Former Arsenal forward Sanchez Watt has urged Mikel Arteta to rival Chelsea for the signing of Romelu Lukaku.

Sanchez Watt has urged Arsenal to make an ambitious move for Romelu Lukaku amid doubts over Alexandre Lacazette’s future.

With Inter Milan struggling for finances and manager Antonio Conte’s resignation, Lukaku has been tipped for a big-money exit. The Belgian’s stock is higher than ever before, having enjoyed a glorious campaign in Serie A.

A Premier League return could be on the table as Champions League winners Chelsea eye a reunion with their former striker.

Thomas Tuchel has reportedly made Lukaku one of his six transfer targets for the summer. The 28-year-old’s agent was even present for Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, Inter are holding out for £100 million offers for Lukaku.

But as Lacazette has just a year left on his contract and could reportedly leave in the summer, Watt has urged Arsenal to not hold back.

“BTW WE NEED ROMELU LUKAKU AT ARSENAL. LET HIM GET REVENGE ON CHELSEA & MAN U,” he posted on Twitter.

Watt is a product of Arsenal’s youth academy and starred in the club’s triumphant 2008/09 FA Youth Cup campaign.

He only made three first-team appearances and spent the bulk of his Gunners career on loan at Southend United, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Crawley Town, and Colchester United.

The 30-year-old left Arsenal in 2013 and is currently a free agent.
