The Ghana international hobbled back into the stands at St. Mary’s Stadium and was a doubt for the crunch clash on Saturday.

Thomas Partey will likely be available for Arsenal for the Premier League game against Manchester United.

Partey started in the 3-1 win over Southampton but couldn’t last full 90 minutes. He required medical treatment after picking up a knock and was replaced by Mohamed Elneny.

It was feared that the Ghanaian is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering an apparent cramp.

Mikel Arteta, speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday, too was uncertain about the player’s availability in the fixture against Man United.

“I don’t know,” the Gunners boss said. “They had some discomforts in different parts, Thomas and Emile, and we will have to see how they evolve.

“We still have some days until the game but not long so let’s see how they recover.”

Goal now claims that the defensive midfielder has “recovered well” and, subject to one final check on Friday, is likely to be available for the crunch Premier League clash on Saturday.

Partey has managed just eight Premier League appearances ever since joining Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
