The Gunners have tied one of their best attackers to a new contract.

Bukayo Saka signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old has developed into a key player for the Gunners under Mikel Arteta, making 178 senior appearances for the club.

Saka’s contract was set to expire in 2024. But the London giants will avoid the pressure as they’ve managed to tie the England international to a new deal.

“I’m just really happy,” Saka told Arsenal’s official website.

“There’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now. I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club – look where we are.”

Arsenal haven’t disclosed the duration of Saka’s new contract. However, according to BBC, the young forward has agreed to stay at the club until 2027.

This season, Saka has registered 14 goals and 11 assists, playing a major role in Arsenal’s unsuccessful push for the Premier League title.

The Arsenal star added: “For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions – how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out. Then I have all the right people around me in terms of family, and when I come to the training ground, my team-mates, the coaching staff.

“I think I have everything I need to become the best player I can be, and that’s why I’m happy to stay here and be here for the future, because I really believe that we can achieve big things.”
