The Serie A giants suffered relegation from the Champions League after a disastrous group stage.

Juventus must consider Europa League as their only route to secure a Champions League spot for the next season, according to Massimiliano Allegri.

A 15-point deduction in Serie A has seen Juventus slip all the way down to the ninth spot on the table. The Bianconeri still have a possibility to reach the Champions League zone.

But it seems Allegri wants his side to focus more on winning the Europa League trophy.

“Tomorrow the Europa League begins, which also becomes an important objective as a gateway to next season’s Champions League,” he said.

“We want to get through the knockouts to reach the round of 16 and then go all the way.

“We know it won’t be easy, French teams are difficult to face. Nantes are doing well and have quality and technical players up front. This fixture is played over 180 minutes. We will have to lay the foundations to go to Nantes with a good advantage.”

Paul Pogba and Kaio Jorge are the only Juventus players that will miss the upcoming match against Nantes. The Bianconeri will have both Juan Cuadrado and Leonardo Bonucci back in their squad for the Europa League clash.
