The Brazilian shot-stopper intends to return to his boyhood club before hanging up his gloves but is in no rush to leave Anfield.

Liverpool have re-established themselves as a force to reckon with not only in the Premier League but also in all of Europe under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds’ made significant investments during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 transfer windows and it laid the groundwork for their recent successes.

Alisson Becker, who was brought in from Roma for about €75 million in 2018, is one such player who has been of considerable importance in their Champions League and Premier League glory.

Considered by many as the world’s best in his position at present, the goalkeeper’s contract runs through to 2024 and is expected to remain a talismanic presence in the Reds’ lineup for some time.

The former Internacional man also has a long-term future at Anfield in mind but has already devised plans for life after Liverpool.

Alisson told Globo Esporte: “I know that God has something for me, I want to follow God’s plans for my life, but my heart’s desire for when I return to Brazil, if God goes to answer it, is to return to Inter, home, the club that I love.

“I have plans for a long career in football, to play as much as I can at a high level. Now if it will be up to 35, 40, or more than 40 I don’t know, I have a lot of road ahead.

“I hope to do my best while in the national team and in Europe.”
