Bayern have added another young midfielder to their ranks ahead of the next season.

Ryan Gravenberch has confirmed he will join Bayern Munich this summer.

The Dutch star will become the second Ajax player to join Bayern ahead of the next season, following the transfer of Noussair Mazraoui in May.

The Bavarians are yet to announce Gravenberch’s transfer officially. However, the player has revealed he will join the Bundesliga giants on a summer transfer.

“Bayern is a big club,” he told Bild after confirming the move. “I think you have to win big titles here.

“That is also what I expect for myself. I’m happy to be here in Munich now.”

Bayern will reportedly pay €19 million plus an additional €6m in add-ons to sign Gravenberch. The club hope the 20-year-old will continue his development under Julian Nagelsmann.

Following the departure of Corentin Tolisso as a free agent, Gravenberch will replace him in Bayern’s squad. However, the Dutchman will still face fierce competition from Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka as the usual starters in midfield.

Having secured the signings of Mazraoui and Gravenberch, Bayern will now focus on their other transfer targets.

Liverpool have rejected both of the German giants’ transfer bids for Sadio Mane, while the club are also pushing to find a breakthrough in their contract negotiations with Serge Gnabry.
