Over the past few weeks, Chelsea have been linked with Juventus star Paulo Dybala but club owner Roman Abramovich is not interested.

From being dubbed ‘the prince’ of Juventus few years back, Dybala currently finds his future at Juventus in a rather uncertain position.

Last summer, the Argentine forward found himself close to a summer exit from the Bianconeri. The likes of Manchester United and Tottenham came close to signing the player. However, a move failed to materialize.

Once again, the player’s future in Italy is up in the air.

Dybala has fallen out of favour under new Juve boss Andrea Pirlo, racking up just three appearances in Serie A so far this season. Injuries have not done well to help his course as well.

With less than two years left on his current contract, recent reports have hinted Chelsea could be interested in the forward.

However, club owner Roman Abramovich will not sanction any such move due to one reason.

As per Italian outlet Calciomeracto, the Russian owner wants to ‘protect’ new signings Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea coughed out £106m on the pair this summer and it appears the Blues have no intention of bringing Dybala who also has an attacking profile.

Similar to the Argentine, both players are capable of operating in attacking midfield, central midfield or out wide.

Hence, the arrival of Dybala could limit game-time for one of both names.

Havertz has shown glimpses of brilliance since his move to Stamford Bridge but is yet to fully convince. On the other hand, Ziyech got on the score-sheet in his first start against Krasnodar last Wednesday. He also caught the eye with a goal in Chelsea’s most recent 3-0 win over Burnley last weekend.
