CR7 will soon be returning to Old Trafford – a lot older but with the same appetite for goals and glory.

Manchester United have announced they have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo will put pen to paper on a two-year deal until 2023 with Man United and has agreed to take a huge cut on his current €31 million-a-season wages at Juventus, according to sources.

The Red Devils have agreed to pay Juventus an initial €20 million plus up to €3 million in bonuses and add-ons for the services of the 36-year-old forward.

CR7 will be the fourth new addition to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad this summer after Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Tom Heaton.

An official statement on the club website reads: “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

“Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

“In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

“Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.”
