A spectacular free-kick from Martin Odegaard was enough for the Gunners to return from Turf Moor with all three points in the bag.

Arsenal made a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign but have now made it two wins on the bounce after beating Burney 1-0 on Saturday.

Arsenal lift up to 12th place in the table after the hard-fought victory while also extend their unbeaten league run at Turf Moor to 10 matches.

The opening 25 minutes saw the visitors struggle to cause problems for the opposition, who were doing a great job in maintaining their shape. However, the hosts unknowingly dug their own grave when they gave away a foul in a central position 25 yards from goal.

Martin Odegaard struck a stunning free-kick that went over the wall and curled beyond Nick Pope and into the back of the net to hand his team the advantage at the half-hour mark. It was the Norwegian playmaker’s first goal for the Gunners ever since his permanent move from Real Madrid this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s side held onto their lead and ultimately clinched a win, and it is starting to look like their problems are a thing of the past.
